How to Play in the 2022 Atlanta TPSF Game
We are excited as we gear up for the thirteenth edition of Three Piece Suit Football (happening 2.12.22) and are glad that you’re interested in being a part of this unique event that supports Pets For Vets Atlanta and other Veteran and animal charities! Although the TPSF game draws some of the same players every year, we do anticipate having some Player Roster Spots available. To that end, we are actively recruiting men and women, ages 18+, all skill levels to participate in the next game at the Three Piece Suit Football Charity Event. To be clear, the annual game is tackle football without pads, and things can get hard-hitting.
Potential players need to be aware of the requirements for TPSF players, so that if your number is called you are ready to join. We will have two warm-up flag football games in January (on the 22nd and 29th), which all are welcome to join, even if you haven’t yet secured a roster spot. As well, we have established a Player COVID-19 Policy (shown below) to create as safe an environment as possible for the players. You need to read that below before making a decision.
If I am offered a Roster Spot, what are the Player Requirements?
There are four things that are required of all TPSF players once they have been offered a spot in the game:
- Pay $60 Player Registration fee
- Sell at least ten (10) Charity Raffle tickets in advance of the game (by directing friends, family, and followers to purchase online on your behalf)
- Sign the Liability Waiver and COVID-19 Policy before participation in any of the football games (flag or tackle)
- Make every attempt to participate in one or both of the warm-up flag football games (January 22 & 29)
SIGN UP ON THE FORM BELOW THE COVID-19 POLICY AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU ABOUT NEXT STEPS!
Three Piece Suit Football – Player COVID-19 Policy
(effective 06-Jan-2022)
In an effort to create as safe an environment as possible for the football players participating in the 2022 Atlanta Three Piece Suit Football Charity Festival game, TPSF has established the following COVID-19 Policy for players. The policy was developed in accordance with current CDC guidelines. The policy may be updated if new data becomes available or if the CDC recommendations are updated. For more information, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/
Refer to the end of this document for Quick Reference Guides on acceptable testing dates to meet the requirements.
1.0 To participate in the January Flag Football games
1.1 Each player, regardless of vaccination status, must have proof of a negative COVID-19 viral NAAT (PCR test) from a sample collected within 54 hours of the event (i.e. From no earlier than 6am on the Thursday prior if the game is Saturday). Alternately, a player may bring their own rapid (antigen) test to the field and administer in the presence of a TPSF Planning Committee member.
1.2 If you have recently recovered from a COVID-19 infection, you may instead provide documentation of recovery from COVID-19. All three items are required:
- Your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample collected between 10 and 90 days (inclusive) prior to the event.
- A completed TPSF Player COVID Attestation form stating that you followed the CDC guidelines for isolation after a positive COVID-19 result, and that you currently have no symptoms.
- Submit to a temperature check at the event and receive a result of less than 101° F.
2.0 To participate in TPSF Eve on Friday night before the TPSF XIII Game
2.1 Each player, regardless of vaccination status, must have proof of a negative COVID-19 viral NAAT (PCR test) from a sample collected within 62 hours of the event (i.e. From no earlier than 6am on Wednesday, Feb. 9th). No antigen tests will be accepted, and no day-of testing will occur at the event.
- Note that 62 hours prior to TPSF Eve will ensure the test result is also valid for TPSF Game Day (78 hours prior to player check-in).
2.2 If you have recently recovered from a COVID-19 infection, you may instead provide documentation of recovery from COVID-19.
3.0 To participate in the TPSF XIII Football Game
3.1 Each player, regardless of vaccination status, must have proof of a negative COVID-19 viral NAAT (PCR test) from a sample collected within 78 hours of the event (i.e. From no earlier than 6am on Wednesday, Feb. 9th). No antigen tests will be accepted, and no day-of testing will occur at the field.
3.2 If you have recently recovered from a COVID-19 infection, you may instead provide documentation of recovery from COVID-19. All three items are required:

4.0 Definitions, Notifications, Considerations
4.1 Proof of test result means a physical or electronic record provided by a licensed testing facility which shows test type, test result, sample collection date, and information which identifies the player.
4.2 Recovery from COVID-19 infection includes the absence of symptoms including fever.
4.3 If a player receives a positive test within 5 days of TPSF Game Day (from 2/7/2022 to 2/12/22), they must notify the Player Coordinator or other TPSF official the day they receive the result, or as soon as reasonable. This will allow the event organizers to make arrangements as necessary due to the loss of the player.
4.4 If a player receives a positive test within 3 weeks of TPSF Game Day (from 1/22/2022 to 2/6/22), they must notify the Player Coordinator or other TPSF official within 1 day, or as soon as reasonable. The intent is to begin providing immediate guidance to the player regarding CDC recommendations for quarantine/isolation, and determine if there is a course of action which will allow the player to recover in time to participate in TPSF XIII.
4.5 If a player is deemed ineligible to play in the TPSF XIII football game, their registration fee will be refunded.
